The instructions below give an overall view of application requirements and procedures. Small changes are, however, possible.

Admission requirements

IMMIT is open to students with Bachelor or equivalent undergraduate degree (180ECTS) either in

  • Management/Economics/Business Administration or in
  • Computer Science/Information System.

Students with an engineering degree can be admitted if their previous education includes ICT and information systems (at least 24 ECTS).

Candidates must have good proficiency of English (IELTS 6.5 or equivalent) and pass the GMAT test (score > 570) or GRE (score above average).

Qualitative criteria include:

  • Marks obtained in the bachelor studies (must be above average)
  • Quality/recognition of home institution having awarded the first degree
  • The strength of the statement of purpose, in other words motivation to study IMMIT
  • CV including extra-curricular activities (especially those associated with cross-cultural/international experiences
How to apply?

Candidates apply by posting a duly completed application form including statement of purpose, filled out in English and signed. It should include one paper version of each of the following:
  • A complete CV (example CV)
  • A photograph of yourself
  • A copy of your valid passport
  • A certified copy of your diploma(s) and any other certificates
    A certified copy of your transcripts (list of marks)
  • Description of the courses taken during your undergraduate studies
  • Translation of diploma(s), transcripts, and description of courses if they are not in the following languages (English, Dutch, Finnish, French, German, Spanish
  • official results of an English language test IELTS http://www.ielts.org (no code) or TOEFL http://www.toefl.org (code: 9860)
  • official results of GMAT  http://www.gmac.com (code for GMAT: VMV-LT-02) or GRE http://www.ets.org/gre  (code for GRE: 0730)
  • Two letters of recommendation
Those applying for an Erasmus Mundus scholarship must mark the corresponding box in the application form. Therefore no separate application for the Erasmus Mundus scholarships is needed.

 

A paper version of the application package including a signed application form and all required documents must arrive at University by:

February 2, 2009 : for non-EEA candidates requesting an Erasmus Mundus scholarship

April 15, 2009 : for non-EEA candidates not requesting an Erasmus Mundus scholarship and all EEA candidates
